The Whimsifoil Naga is an electric foil (efoil) equipped with a 175-liter inflatable board and twin propellers.
The Naga version is the most versatile, it fits pretty much every user and use case.
The Battery allows 45 to 90 minutes of use (depending on weather conditions, weight and level of the user).
The inflatable board has a great buoyancy and allows stand up start.
The combination of the double propulsion with counter-rotating propellers, the inflatable board, the large underwater wings and the stiffness of the mechanical structure of the Whimsifoil provide unrivaled levels of stability, flight comfort and ease of handling .
The Whimsifoil is designed in a modular way, to guarantee the safety of users but also to improve its reliability and simplify its maintenance.
And above all, the Whimsifoil is incredibly fun to pick up and use to (re) discover all bodies of water.
Design
The modular design of Whimsifoil is broken down into a reduced number of sub-assemblies which can be easily and quickly replaced.
The main sub-assemblies are:
- Inflatable board
- Chassis
- Battery
- Mast
- Hydrofoil
The main functions of the aluminum carbon composite frame are to accommodate the battery and ensure a very stiff fixation of the inflatable board on the one hand and the mast on the other hand.
The frame is equipped with an electrical safety device which is added to the safety devices integrated into the battery in order to guarantee the best level of safety for the user.
The aluminum mast is extremely robust and has great mechanical stiffness to ensure great stability and an incredible flight comfort.
The mast is equipped with two patented thrusters, designed and manufactured in France, as well as the speed controllers of these engines. The immersion of these controllers ensures perfect cooling of the electronic power components and thus great reliability.
Use
Very easy to use, the Whimsifoil is piloted using a wireless remote control. The latter makes it possible to control very finely the speed of rotation of the motors and also indicates to the user its speed as well as the battery level.
The learning phase is very fast and fun. The Whimsifoil takes off very easily, it's just a matter of understanding its behavior, feeling its reactions to the user's movements and finding a flight position in which you feel both great comfort and a lot of control.
